On this day in ...... 1944 (65 years ago today), Prof. Dr. Lerke Osterloh (right) was born in Holle (Oldenburg), Germany. She received her Dr. jur. degree in 1978, having completed a dissertation on a question involving property in civil law and public law). She completed her Habilitation, with a thesis relating to fiscal law, in 1989, the same year that she became a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Heidelberg. Subsequently she's held Chairs of Public and Fiscal Law at the University of Trier and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main. Since 1998 Osterloh has served as a Judge of the Federal Constitutional Court in Germany.
