(Write On! is an occasional item about notable calls for papers.)The Section on International Human Rights of the Association of American Law Schools invites abstracts and proposals for papers to be presented at the Section's "New Voices in Human Rights" program during the AALS annual meeting January 5-8, 2011, in San Francisco, California.
Eligible are faculty members of AALS member and fee-paid law schools who have never before submitted a paper in an area of international human rights law and practice for the first time at an AALS conference. Non-U.S., visiting and adjunct faculty members, graduate students, and fellows are not eligible.
Submissions should be e-mailed, in Word or pdf format, to Section Chair Sarah H. Paoletti (left) at paoletti@law.upenn.edu. Deadline is very soon: September 16, 2010.
