On this day in ...... 1961, a court in Israel found Adolf Eichmann guilty on all 15 counts of crimes against humanity, crimes against the Jewish people, and war crimes, stemming from his role as a Nazi official during the Holocaust. ... 1942, Kathleen Blanco was born in New Iberia, Louisiana. She served as her state's 1st woman governor from 2004-2008; her record tarnished by the debacle of Hurricane Katrina, Blanco, a Democrat, chose not to run for re-election.
