Yesterday we at IntLawGrrls welcomed Page Viewer No. 150,000 (and we're soon to welcome our 85,000th visitor)!
We've come a long way since our gestation and birth fewer than 2 years ago. The few voices with which we started have become many, and we're now publishing in our own names. In addition to the 28 of us who are permanent members, 30 international law women are guest alumnae. Our nearly 2,000 posts have covered the gamut of issues related to international, comparative, and transnational law -- from light-hearted puzzlers, like today's "Afriqueries," to many thoughtful posts on thought-provoking matters.
We're proud of accomplishments reflected in the lists in the righthand column:
► Our dozens of transnational foremothers, a world of inspiring women as diverse as the Taino Queen Anacoana and the British feminist/pacifist author Vera Brittain;
► Our recurring features, Write On!, Work On!, Read On!, On the Job!, On Art!, Look On!, Go On!, ...and counting..., 'Nuff said; and
► Our many series, 2008 U.S. elections, CERD & Race in the United States, Disability Rights, Free Trade, Guantánamo, Khmer Rouge Accountability, and Women at Nuremberg.
Most of all, we're proud of you, our readers, whose support and comments keep us going. We'd love it if you want to subscribe to IntLawGrrls via e-mail RSS feed, or make IntLawGrrls your home page.
Keep on visiting, and heartfelt thanks!
