(Go On! is an occasional item on symposia of interest) Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto, Canada, will be the site for the annual Conference of the
International Association of Procedural Law, to be held June 3-5, 2009. The theme is
Common Law/Civil Law: The Future of Categories -- Categories of the Future. Issues to be explored:
► whether, in view of ongoing procedural reforms, the age-old categories of common law and civil law continue to be relevant to procedural systems; and
► if not, whether new categories are emerging; or
► whether, indeed, such categories will have a role to play in the future.
Included in the impressive
list of speakers is IntLawGrrls guest/alumna
Valerie Oosterveld, plus a host of women and men we've featured in other posts. In addition to these scheduled speakers,

organizers -- among them Professors
Janet Walker (Osgoode Hall) and
Oscar G. Chase (NYU) -- "welcome the lively participation of all attendees, including in 'Reports from the Floor.'"
