Of the 30 teams in the NBA, 14 non-playoff teams participate in the 2010 NBA Draft Lottery on May 18, 2010.
The lottery is weighted so that the team with the worst record has the best chance to obtain a higher draft pick. The lottery process determines the first three picks of the draft. Then the other 11 teams are placed in the draft in reverse order of their winning pecentage, with the worst teams drafting ahead of the better teams.
