On this day in ...... 1950 (60 years ago today), Dr. Christine Hohmann-Dennhardt (left) was born in Leipzig. She received her doctorate in law from Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurtin 1979, having completed a thesis on employer-employee law, then began a career as a judge and civil servant. Hohmann-Dennhardt served as Minister of Justice and then as Minister of Science and the Arts of the German Land of Hesse before becoming a Judge on Germany's Federal Constitutional Court in 1999.
