(Go On! is an occasional item on symposia and other events of interest) Along with 3 D.C.-based law schools, the American Society of Comparative Law will play host this summer to a weeklong international conference.The XVIIIth International Congress of Comparative Law will take place at American University Washington College of Law, George Washington University Law School, and Georgetown Law from July 25 to August 1, 2010.
This marks the 1st time this quadrennial conference of the Paris-based International Academy of Comparative Law will be held in the United States. The agenda includes many sessions on all aspects of comparative law, as well as a banquet at the Organization of American States
headquarters (left).Confirmed speakers include:
