... 1883 (125 years ago today), Kingston Women’s Medical College, the 1st women's medical school in Ontario, was opened "to women students in a wing of City Hall" by Dr. Jennie Kidd Trout; in 1875 Trout, age 34, had become the 1st woman licensed physician in Canada. ... 1924, in Geneva, Switzerland, delegates adopted the Protocol for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes. This Geneva Protocol was intended, according to this League of Nations chronology,

to strengthen the international machinery of the League of Nations resulting from the absence of Germany, Russia, and the U.S. The protocol required compulsory arbitration of all disputes and defined the aggressor as a nation unwilling to submit its case to arbitration.
