Heartfelt congratulations go out to our "fellow" IntLawGrrl Jaya Ramji-Nogales and her husband, Luis Ramji-Nogales, on the birth of their daughter, Kala Elena Ramji-Nogales.Kala was born Friday, March 28 at 11:27 pm, weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz. Jaya explains that Kala (pronounced Kah-luh) means "virtues" in Sanskrit (among many other meanings), "stone" in Aymara (an indigenous language of Bolivia; the Creator of the Andean world sculpted humankind in stone before calling them to life), "fire" in Aboriginal Australian, and "sun" in Hawaiian.
No doubt she is all that and so much more - Welcome Kala!
