Write On! Symposium--Global Impact of Subprime Mortgage Crisis

(Write On! is an occasional item about notable calls for papers.) Those international economic law folks are keeping busy. See Karen Bravo’s recent post on the upcoming “Biennial Conference of the ASIL International Economic Law Interest Group.” IntLawGrrls readers may also be interested in the following symposium on the global implications of the credit crisis.
“Financial Markets and Systemic Risk: The Global Repercussions of the U.S. Subprime Mortgage Meltdown,” a symposium co-sponsored by the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems and the University of Iowa Center for International Finance and Development, is scheduled for 20 February 2009.
The call for papers identifies three broad themes: (1) “The Anatomy of Contagion,” (2) “Strengths and Weaknesses of the Regulatory Responses to the Crisis,” and (3) a “Look Into the Future.” Abstract submission deadline is Monday, 21 July 2008. The full text of the call for papers is available here.
