4,145 American servicemembers have been 
killed in Iraq. Total coalition fatalities: 4,459 persons. That's 21
servicemember deaths in the last 3 weeks, all of them Americans. Military
casualties in the conflict in Afghanistan stand at 578 Americans and 360 other coalition servicemembers, an increase of 18 and 31, respectively, in the last 3 weeks.
